Dear Toy Soldier Collectors,

Myself, along with the directors at C&T, have taken the decision that as of January 2023, my regular toy soldier and figure sales will cease to be standalone auctions twice a year, but will be tacked on to the Vintage & Collectible Toy auctions held three times a year. In doing so, this will enable me to offer a more speedy inclusion in an auction, and to concentrate on the most popular toy soldier collecting items!

The timing of the next Vintage Toy Sale on 18th January 2023, means that it immediately follows the 7 December 2022 last Toy Soldier Sale. It will comprise a 77 lot Toy Soldier section, lots 449 to 525. The sale starts at 10.30am, and so the Toy Soldier section will be reached by around 2.00pm – we recommend allowing yourselves a bit of leeway in case the auction is running faster than normal. Within this sale are a number of particularly desirable Britains sets from all the hollowcast eras, but right at the end are thirteen lots of neatly refurbished Britains being sold with the proceeds to be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. These attractive lots will thus have a bit of extra story to them, and the total sum donated will be matched by the Government. The next following sale containing Toy Soldiers etc. will be on 3 May 2023.
