C&T have recently been consigned a comprehensive collection of historical items relating to the Third Reich, this collection once belonged to the late Colin Kluth.

Colin’s fascination with history and enthusiasm for collecting militaria was initially sparked at age 7, when a friend gave him his fathers war medal in exchange for a ride on Colin’s bike. Of German descent, Colin became particularly interested in the period of dictatorship in Germany under Third Reich rule during the Second World War. Fascinated by politics of the time and the social influence that the Third Reich had over the German people, Colin’s collection centres around various civilian and Homefront organisations founded by the The National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP). 

Colin was a regular visitor to many Militaria Shows taking place in the South of England and also visited, along with other collectors, some of the larger German Militaria shows throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s. His immense interest in the Third Reich and his frequent attendance at various Military events, led Colin to amass one of the finest and largest collections of German rally/day badges that we have ever encountered!

This fascinating collection will be split over our online Military auctions, both live-streamed and timed, throughout 2023. We look forward to photographing and documenting Colin’s life collection and thank his family for allowing us the responsibility of sharing these historical items with fellow collectors worldwide.
