About the department...
C&T Auctioneers and Valuers Ltd hold regular auctions throughout the year, containing a vast array of items from a single badge to a field cannon.
As with all collecting fields, items of rarity or items associated with a person or event of notoriety (i.e. Sir Winston Churchill or battles like the Battle of Britain, Passchendaele, Charge of the Light Brigade etc.) command the highest prices when they are offered at auction.
C&T Auctioneers and Valuers Ltd are one of the only auction houses in the UK to guarantee the authenticity of items relating to the Third Reich, a macabre area, but one which holds huge historical significance in the 20th century. Even back in 1945, allied soldiers were avid collectors of items relating to Nazi Germany. Many serviceman having brought home souvenirs of their service, these veterans became the earliest collectors of the subject matter.
C&T has fast become one of the leading specialist auction houses in the UK and Europe for Militaria. We're pleased to have offered some incredible collections, including the Colin Churchill Collection of British Military Collar Badges & Cloth Insignia, the Late Michael Baldwin Collection of Imperial German Militaria, the Barrie Morris Collection of British Cloth Insignia, the Archive and Collection of the Late Brian L Davis and the Mick Woodfield Collection of Zulu Weaponry.
